Patsy Day :: To celebrate the amazing Joanna Lumley’s 63rd birthday – a holiday that shall henceforth be known as St. Patsy’s Day – I created this composite image building on the Daily Mail headline seen within.

Extenze :: If you’ve seen the asinine advertisements for male enhancement product, Extenze, you’ll immediately get the humour of this image. Original illustrations mixed with found textures.

7491 :: Following a week of driving a 1984 Mercedes 190E, I was inspired to create an image that would take advantage of my new found love of Top Gear and European cars.

Willow :: This image began life as a poster design for my office at Penn State. I liked it so much that I expanded upon it. It is also residing as a print in a friend’s apartment.

Mamie :: I found an unlikely muse in 1950s film star Mamie van Doren. After completing this image, Ms. van Doren decided to feature it on her own website, prompting a string of email conversation with Mamie herself.

Spring By :: Upon arriving back from a trip to Italy, I created this image inspired by the springtime in Florence and some contemporary Italian art I had seen there.

Fire :: When I was living in Bellefonte, PA, an historic hotel burned to the ground. This original photography captures the event and is mixed with other hand drawn elements.

Queen of the West :: My grandfather, as a child, had colored Roy Rogers in an original 1950s coloring book. I took the very bright red lips he was given and ran with it to create something quite unexpected.

Warped Rose :: Original photography of children’s playground equipment and handgrown rose. Inspired by music by Metric.

Results :: A PixelGirlPresents featured image, results features a custom scanned x-ray and envelope and evokes a very dark feel.

Tidal :: Created using custom Photoshop brush, original beach photography and vector elements following a trip to Emerald Isle, NC.

Crystal :: A visit to a friend living in DC produced this dramatic image from the metro platforms. 1980s advertisement with original photography.

Spiders! :: Another image created for an art class project. The assignment was to combine three elements of classmates’ dreams into one image.

Control :: An image created for a class project on cultural icons featuring Billie Holiday and original photography.

Motorcycle :: Beautiful macro photo of a flower in my dorm room, combined with Chinese script font, evoking a very Kill Bill aesthetic.

Radioactive :: The incomparable Ms. Kylie Minogue, a favorite of my friend, Andy. I shrunk her to Moulin Rouge proportions and added her to several photos I obtained around campus.

Sheer Charisma :: Following a trip to Baltimore, a frequent destination in college, I created this image playing on the angles found at the waterfront and graffiti picked up along the way there.

Medicine :: This image was created after a visit to a New York ski cabin. I was captivated by the collection of antique bottles and sought to make them more interesting.

Sacred Heart :: I drew inspiration from a Wired cover on the technological transcendence of religion. This image captures the sentiment nicely and draws on classic Catholic imagery of my childhood.

Buddha :: Composed entirely of found imagery, this has always been one of my favorites for its serene ambience.

Splendid Confusion :: Inspired by Fischerspooner’s remarkable video for Sweetness, this image features more original greenhouse photography mixed with Photoshop brush elements and a photo of Casey Spooner.

Under Glass :: The goal was to create a flat image, almost like paper cut outs. Original photography background with found orchid imagery.

Cintilação :: Beautiful original photos of the greenhouses at Penn State. Cintilação is Portuguese for sparkle, which this image certainly does.

Forest Essence :: I found a beautiful Luna moth hanging out in the driveway one day and decided to make her a part of a collage of forest elements.

Hitching a Ride :: One last image of my butterfly companion, this time composited onto my Honda scooter from college.

Inquisitive :: My butterfly muse continued to find his way into my imagery, this time as part of a digital composition.
