Well, I’m back…
Sometimes I wonder why I need to actually go into the office. Can’t I post comments on MySpace and read the interweb from home just as well if not better? *sigh* In other words, it was a slow day at work, but that should be expected for the first week back from Xmas break.
My time at home was actually pretty good. There were a few days where my father’s PMS almost sent me packing, but he apologized for being a ridiculous ogre and things ended smoothly. I got to hang out with Angela for a brief, albeit incredibly sexy in a non-incestual kind of way, few days. We experienced the most intense passing maneuver ever executed while driving Klaus up the river hill. Thank you so much, Fifth Element soundtrack. I fucked Maggie’s brains out on a few occasions while Gail watched. It was a little weird, but what can you do? She should be giving birth to our love creature in a matter of days. Dusty introduced me to some of his Clarion cohorts at a New Year’s Eve party. I drank only the finest of Clarion tap waters and had conversation about OCD/HGTV and chinchillas with Sonya and Nick, respectively. Mainly, though, I spent time with my best friend (apparently) Ebbie while she followed my visiting around the house and neighbourhood.
Now I’m here in Bellefonte. I got an espresso maker from my lovely mother and it is fantastic. With a cappucino in hand and a belly full of spiral wheat pasta with basil pesto and mozarella, I’ve been reading Wired on the couch. I went to Wegman’s tonight since I had absolutely zero foodstuffs – which always puts me in a good mood. Also adding to my general like of life was a call from Apple today. The recruiter confirmed my 13:30 final interview on 13 January in Philadelphia. He also took the opportunity to complement me on my “fantastic presentation” and said that he’s very excited to have me be part of the team. I was still coming down off of the laughter from forgetting that tomorrow is my own birthday, so I was kinda like “Are you sure you don’t think I’m a big ‘tard?” but it felt great.
So, my favourite Xmas gift was defo my van Gogh throw that my mom made for me. What about y’all? Please comment.
*shameless*
mmmm, wheat pasta!
i’ve been dying to try it, but my mom refuses. she claims it’s disgusting.
also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, tard!!!
Hehe…thanks for the birthday wish, Sonya.
Wheat pasta is fantastic. Especially when it’s organic, too. It’s only the slightest bit grittier than regular pasta but is otherwise indistinguishable.
Happy Birthday! My favorite gift was definitely the “not a hint that it’s time to move out” suitcase.
Also you share a birthday with Louis Braille!
Other people, too.
and the heasley twins!!! who could forget their SPECIAL birthday!!!
Wow! That is pretty extra special! Sorry, Nick, I will be celebrating their birthday along with all of Clarion County.
Okay, insomnia’s defo set in. Are you sure you are not being told to move out? If you are, you need to be my roommate. For reals.
