Thank you, Penn State…

While I was browsing The Collegian Magazine today, I noticed an article about how the rising cost of tuition is going to negatively affect students this year. It seems the increased cost of going to school here is going to hurt party supply purchases. Woe is the student body at large. Nevermind the minority of students that actually have to pay for school on their own and for all of their living expenses. I guess I had a pretty non-typical college experience, so can someone please explain to me when going to college shifted away from ‘now I’m an adult’ to ‘childhood’s last hoorah’ and why?

Maybe I’m just jaded, but this diversion from growing up that has become being a student is really not helping anyone.

    go, nick, go. get wild!

are we truly two of the few people who have to pay for our own education?

anyway, this certainly needs to be my final hoorah. in a few years, i won’t even know what hit me when the student loans start coming through.
    thanks for inspiring me!

if you ever feel like hoorah-ing, you know where to go!
(do beach boys albums and wine on the porch sound hoorah-ish enough?)

If only I could drink that much beer in a year. I would rather pay my loans back and get as far away from Penn State as I can. But still a disco ball does bring the party home…
